Our client, a hugely successful and well-established manufacturer based in Bungay, are current seeking the following:

Multi- Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) on a full time basis. X2

Multi- Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical Bias) on a full time basis. X1

This role is essential to guarantee the smoothing running of machines and other critical equipment across the site to ensure they can meet the operational needs of the business.

Competitive Salary: £45,000

Main Tasks of Role:

• Maintain and repair all machinery as required or as directed by your team leader or supervisor.
• Complete both reactive and preventative maintenance on a wide range of equipment.
• Ensure minimal downtime is experienced due to machine breakdowns.
• Work with the engineering team, under the Engineering Supervisor as required.
• Suggest improvements to working practices to team leader or supervisor.
• Order and follow up on machine parts.
• Keep the electronic logbook of work up to date on a regular basis.
• Assess faulty machinery and diagnose the fault in a timely manner.
• Liaise with external contractors as necessary.
• Handover workload and updates on work activity for your shift to the next shift.
• All employees must observe and comply with policies and procedures for health and safety.

36-hour week working the following 4 week shift rotation:

4 week day shift rotation;

Week 1: Sat, Sun, Mon, Thur, Fri

Week 2: Mon, Tues, Wed

Week 3: Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri

Week 4: off

Working just one weekend a month. Some flexibility with regards to working days will be required when working on projects.

Requirements:

• NVQ Level 3 Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent + demonstrable workplace experience
• Proof of multi-skilled qualification/conversion training + demonstrable experience.
• Experience in a similar role or industry
• Strong diagnostic / rectification skills
• Used to working with fine tolerances

Desired:

• HNC in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent discipline
• Preferably holds full clean driving license.
• Preferably apprentice trained.
