Multi-skilled shift engineer

I am currently recruiting for an electrically biased multi-skilled shift engineer for a static role in Woking. This is a full time, permanent role for the UK's largest contractor in facilities maintenance and management. The company hiring highly promote upskilling all engineers with amazing development programmes as well as on the job training.

Job Details:

• Full Time, Permanent role
• Location: Woking (static role)
• Shifts are 12-hour day shifts over a 2-week rotation.
• 42 hours per week
• Week 1: Monday & Tuesday on - Wednesday to Friday off - Saturday & Sunday on
• Week 2: Monday & Tuesday off - Wednesday to Friday on - Saturday & Sunday off
• Salary: 41,000
• 25 days holiday

Role & Key responsibilities:

• As a shift engineer you will be on 12-hour shifts (days) on a static facility in a team of 2 carrying out M&E maintenance tasks.
• In this role you will be the main point of contact for the client to raise any maintenance issues or concerns as well as any emergency breakdowns
• You will take part in planned maintenance (PPMS) set by the ppm planners or regional supervisors.
• Ensure compliance in accordance with all health, safety & wellbeing policies.
• Fault finding, repairs or minor installation as well as maintaining equipment within critical environments.
• Take part in additional training in areas where skilled can developed further if needed for the role.
• General maintenance of lights, emergency lighting, alarm systems, plant rooms & filters.
• Report any unrepairable systems to management.

Requirements:

• qualified engineer NVQ level 3 or equivalent City & guilds qualification in maintenance, installation or servicing.
• 18th edition
• Experienced in a multi-skilled maintenance role.
• Experience with filter changes & air handling units AHU's
• Willingness to work on weekends.
• Willingness to work overtime where needed.
• Great communication skill
• Competent in M&E maintenance
