Job description
Our client are looking for a Multi Skilled Yard Operative with various MHE experience for their busy site near Isleham.
£26 - £28k per annum plus optional overtime

Panama shift 05:30 – 18:15
Must have:
Own transport due to the location
Forklift licence
Experience driving various machinery such as, FLT, Tractor, Shunter & Telehandler
Previous experience in working in a busy Yard environment
Must be able to effectively communicate with all colleagues and visitors on site.
Key Responsibilities:
• Load and unload vehicles with FLT: trays, pallets, packaging, machinery, etc
• Load bulk trailers using the teleporter
• Assist and serve stock feed customers in a professional manner
• Collect the labels from the boxes and control traceability on the yard using the Navision system
• Monitor and communicate to Line Manager
• Empty the stone trailer as required
• Move empty and full trailers around the Yard area
• Manage daily tasks to ensure continuous production flow, supply Production with trays, boxes, pallets etc
• Assist the Engineering team in moving heavy equipment
• Manage the safe storage of goods/sundries in the Yard
• Complete and record daily start up checks on any MHE equipment
• Keep control of empty boxes in the yard, quarantine any damaged boxes.
• Assist in the repair of broken boxes as required
• Promote the Health and Safety of yourself and your colleagues
• Undertake any other duties requested by your Line Manager
• Cover for Yard/ Recycling Operator
Housekeeping
• Perform gardening duties, such as weeding and lawn mowing
• Sweep the yard, walkways and litter picking
• Carry out minor DIY and repairs, painting barriers, mending boxes
Key performance indicators:
• Box repair quotas
• Conduct start up checks on MHE equipment and report any faults to you Line Manager
• Improvement measures
• Hazard reports generated
• No non-conformances in any external or internal audit
Communication:
• Actively communicate and seek feedback from colleagues and customers
• Communicate daily and weekly delivery performance levels to your team
• Play a participative part in Team Briefs
• Be proactive in the provision of feedback
