Multiply Officer - Public Sector - 42K

VANRATH are delighted to be assisting our client, a large and well-known Public Sector Organisation with the recruitment of a Multiply Officer This is a Full-Time Monday - Friday position. 37 hours per week.

Salary

£39,186 - £42,403

The Multiply Officer is an exciting new post within the organisation's Economic Development section to work closely with local employers, potential investors, community groups and residents.

Responsibilities

• To lead, plan and deliver an agreed programme of interventions in the local borough through a co-ordinated, partnership approach working with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Facilitate the creation of a Multiply programme and develop an associated Action Plan and Governance Structures through consultation and engagement with stakeholder agencies to maximise the draw-down of funds from Central Government.
• To co-ordinate the Multiply Programme and its work plan, undertaking third party contract management duties and assessing the impact of interventions within funding framework.
• Assist the Economic Development Manager in the preparation of accurate and timely reports for Committee and Council meetings.
• Contribute to the development, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and updating of annual business plans for the Economic Development Section.
• To deputise for the Economic Development Manager and represent the organisation at related Multiply meetings.
• Provide a high level of internal and external customer service including taking ownership of customer queries, requests for assistance and complaints and following issues through to completion.

Essential Criteria:

• Degree in Economic Development, Community Development, Regeneration or equivalent level 6 qualification.
• Possess at least 2 years' experience in a wide range of economic/community development activities.
• Experience of working with communities and adults.
• Good planning and project management skills, including Programme design, resource development and assessment.
• Knowledge of EU and other funding programmes and how applications and claims are prepared and processed.
• Competent in the use of Microsoft Office and Windows Applications.
• Full current driving license and access to a form of transport.

Desirable Criteria:

• Experience of programme management of externally funded programmes.
• Managing networks and partnership working.
• Delivering literacy/employability programmes for adults.
