We are inviting applications for the post of Museum Education Assistant. This full time position is available until December 2025 at the University of Cambridge. The role is within the Museum of Zoology, home to a collection that is designated as being of national and international importance. The Museum is open Tuesday to Sunday, welcoming around 150,000 visitors a year. We have an active and varied learning and engagement programme, working to engage diverse audiences with both the wonders of the animal kingdom on display in the Museum and the wildlife on their doorstep. This post is crucial in the development and delivery of this programme and activities for new and existing audiences. Candidates should have Museum Education/public engagement experience, be well organised, and have an enthusiasm for the natural world Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 31 December 2025 in the first instance, with a possibility of extension, subject to availability of funds. Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a basic disclosure (criminal records check) check, a health assessment, a security check and an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
