A teacher takes a hand, opens a mind and touches a heart.

Have you been looking for your next Music teacher role at an Ofsted rated 'Good' school where there is a focus on all learners having the same opportunities regardless of their starting point?

Do you currently live in or around PL3?

Do you have a passion for inspiring creativity, improving your students' educational experiences and bringing out the best in them?

If you said 'yes' to these questions, you currently have an amazing opportunity to work as a music teacher in a secondary school in PL3. The role would begin after Easter until the end of the academic year, with potential to become a permanent position if successful in the role.

Work hours are 8.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m, Monday to Friday. This is the perfect opportunity for those who have a genuine passion and desire to make the classroom a fun environment and make the students look forward to class each day.

The perfect candidate will:

  • Make an effort to provide every child with the best learning experience they could hope for.
  • Create a fun and engaging classroom experience where students are excited to attend lessons.
  • Implement your unique teaching style to effectively address a variety of student behaviours; you should be adaptable and flexible to ensure fairness in the classroom.
  • Establish a trustworthy and perceptive relationship with students where they see you as a role model and someone they can rely on.
  • The ability to communicate emotionally is essential for interactions in the classroom.
  • Classrooms may be stressful places, so it's important to be able to take a deep breath and determine how much help is needed to control tempers and diffuse situations. Be calm, patient, and understanding.
