Reed Education is looking for a passionate Music Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Lancaster. This full-time, long-term position is available for immediate start. The successful candidate will have a profound knowledge of the Music curriculum, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to nurturing a dynamic learning environment.
Day to Day of the Role:
Teach Music to KS3 and KS4 students; experience with KS5 would be beneficial.
Plan and deliver inspiring music lessons that engage students of all abilities.
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
Manage the classroom effectively to foster a positive learning environment.
Serve as a positive role model, displaying qualities of compassion, trustworthiness, and good listening skills.
Work collaboratively with colleagues and participate in school events and performances.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Recent relevant experience teaching Music at KS3 and KS4; KS5 is advantageous.
Strong classroom management skills and subject knowledge.
Reliable, committed, and keen on contributing positively to students’ learning experiences.
Good interpersonal skills, punctuality, and confidence in working with children.
