Music Teacher - Part Time

Hays Education are delighted to be recruiting a Music Teacher for a post-16 college in Doncaster

Hays Education are looking for a passionate and experienced Music Teacher to join the team at an Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' Post 16 setting located in Doncaster. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching BTEC music classes on a Part Time basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing the music curriculum in the classroom, as well as leading on extra-curricular music activities such as productions, concerts, choirs, and other ensembles. This is a temporary position likely to last until July 2024, with the option of a permanent role from July 2024.
As a member of staff, you will ultimately be a role model for all students, and will take on the policies, ethos and standards of the setting at all times. Innovation is a highly desirable characteristic with this role; we are looking for staff who can think outside the box and challenge the realms of possibility within the traditional views of both subjects. Linking with other relevant subjects and real life scenarios, pushing the boundaries of traditional textbook lessons, creating and delivering interactive content are just a few examples of the skill we would like to see demonstrated.
What you'll need to succeed
Person Specification

• Qualified Teacher Status with Music or other relevant specialism
• Experience teaching 16+
• Knowledge of the GCSE syllabus and national curriculum KS3/KS4
• Strong teaching ability
• Ability to differentiate
• Sound team player
