The Student Experience Department are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is interested in supporting students with all aspects of student life. You’ll be working within the MySurrey Hive - a one stop shop for all non-academic student enquiries - ensuring that they have a memorable and high-level student experience at Surrey. Taking on day-to-day administrative and operational duties, you’ll have the opportunity to work on projects and contribute towards University events such as Welcome and Registration. Key responsibilities will include: Greeting and offering support and guidance to users of the MySurrey Hive Answering incoming phone calls, emails and face to face enquiries from students and the wider team Keeping accurate records across multiple IT systems Communicating with other departments and support services using Microsoft Teams Signposting students and escalating enquiries where necessary to ensure they are receiving the relevant support Overseeing the MySurrey Hive space and referring to the diary for events and appointments Working with MySurrey Hive Student Ambassadors Generating student documentation i.e. council tax exemption and bank letters Other administrative duties such as references About you You should be confident in your use of Microsoft packages such as Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams with the ability to learn other internal IT systems. Organisation and customer service skills are key to this role, as is the ability to assist students in a professional, calm and friendly manner. You will be able to multi-task and deliver to deadlines in a fast paced and high-pressured environment, and will work well individually and as part of a close team, regularly liaising with many other student support services across the University.
