National Director of Property, Facilities, Estates, Salary: up to £85k + 20% bonus, £600pm car allowance, private healthcare & excellent benefits package. This is a national role with travel – flexibility in terms of location, though central belt of the UK would be preferable.
We have an exciting opportunity for a National Director of Property, Facilities and Estates (Industrial / commercial) to work for a multi-site, leading global business in the construction sector. As the Property Director, your role is essential in developing and implementing a comprehensive property strategy, encompassing facilities management and estate management. You will ensure the optimal use and efficient management of the property assets, underpinning the company’s dedication to service excellence and sustainability. You will review and develop the property portfolio to meet customer needs and deliver value for money, working with key internal and external stakeholders to achieve this.
The ideal candidate will have Extensive experience in a Director / Head of Property, Facilities Management, Estates role from within a relevant sector e.g. construction, toolhire, manufacturing and properties housing heavy goods, plant and machinery.
Main tasks:
- Lead the creation and execution of a strategic property plan, supporting the company's long-term goals and objectives.
- Supervise the management of all company properties, ensuring their optimal utilisation and maintenance.
- Manage the facilities to guarantee a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment for all staff and visitors.
- Oversee the planning and execution of Property acquisitions, disposals, and leasehold agreements.
- Engage with relevant stakeholders, including landlords, planning authorities, and contractors, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify property needs, ensuring alignment of the property strategy with the broader business strategy.
- Lead, manage, and develop the property team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Regularly monitor, evaluate, and report on the effectiveness of the property strategy, adjusting as required.
Candidate requirements:
- Proven track record in a similar senior property management role from within a relevant sector e.g. construction, toolhire, manufacturing and properties housing heavy goods, plant and machinery..
- Experience operating at a strategic level with excellent communication and leadership experience.
- Financial acumen appropriate to role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Property planning, facilities, and estate management principles and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- An understanding of legal and regulatory aspects of Property and facilities management.
