Job description

Fantastic opportunity to join a culture focused and leading Animal Health pharmaceutical organisation. The Key Account Manager is responsible for developing strategy, relationship, business and services with selected Veterinary Key Accounts. You will devise and develop creative and profitable business solutions for both the Company and the account, and in collaboration with the management team develop long-term objectives and meet customer satisfaction goals

Responsibilities:

  • Developing, proposing and implementing the agreed Company Key Account Strategy in-line with the strategic aims of the group
  • Segmentation, managing, creating, and developing strategic plans and compelling business proposals
  • Liaising and collaborating with all departments to devise a detailed plan for key/major accounts to maximise sales and services opportunities, short and long term
  • Manage the relationship with the Key Accounts and the company, optimising relationships and partnerships with corporate chains
  • Strategic management of any associated budget
  • Prepare and implement contractual agreements and ensure compliance
  • Develop the turnover and profitiability of Key Account activities, achieving net sales targets, and ensuring gross margins are in-line with expectation

About You:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Relevant knowledge or background of animal health industry
  • Computer literate, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook and CRM/databases
  • Broad commercial experience in sales and/or marketing: 4-5 years
  • Previous experience managing "Key Accounts"
  • Strategic business analysis, development and planning
  • Diplomatic and persuasive, able to effectively negotiate
  • Ability to network and influence people at all levels
  • Commercially aware of financial targets in terms of costs, profits, market and added values
  • Preferable - Knowledge of company product portfolio (veterinary)
