Business: The ReFood AD plants operate as integrated recycling units, processing a variety of food wastes to produce renewable electricity, heat and ReFood, a nutrient-rich fertiliser for local farms. The plants also recycle the food waste packaging. The plants provide an environmentally sustainable solution for all waste producers looking for a safe method of diverting food waste from landfill.
The Position
Applications are invited for a National Sales & Marketing Manager at our ReFood Ltd, Doncaster Site. The role involves working 40 hours per week, working Monday to Friday. As a National Sales & Marketing Manager your duties and responsibilities will vary but will include:
- Manage the ReFood Sales & Marketing team ensuring all agreed targets and objectives are achieved.
- Preparing quotes in line with the agreed pricing strategy and re-negotiating terms where appropriate.
- Gathering and maintaining up-to-date market intelligence, monitoring competitor activity (services and prices), and reacting as required.
- Plan and implement a sales strategy in line with budgeted growth.
- Develop and maintain a potential pipeline of customers both regional and national.
- Identify business opportunities for suitable organic waste streams; liaise with the sales team to ensure opportunities are progressed.
- Analyse the sales team, performance to understand trends and growth opportunities.
- Ensure the application and sales approach are in line with the ReFood brand.
Marketing, Public Relations & Technical Support
- Develop and promote the company’s activities across the industry and customer base.
- Manage and coordinate all marketing, advertising & promotional activities.
- Identify opportunities for sales campaigns.
- Identify & represent at trade events and seminars, showcasing the ReFood brand and culture.
- Provide technical support and advice to customers.
The Person
- Educated to A-level as a minimum, preferably degree level.
- Full UK Driving Licence and ability and willingness to travel, when required.
- Be experienced in a commercial sales-led environment, within a B2B or other similar customer focused sector.
- Previous management experience.
- It is desirable to have a working knowledge of the waste/recycling sector and the food production industry.
- Be able to engage with stakeholders at all levels of understanding and interest and be able to build strong working relationships.
- Good written and verbal communication skills and numerical skills – also must be proficient with MS Office, particularly Excel, Powerpoint and Word.
- Ability to make decisions under pressure, be flexible, practical and hard working with a strong work ethic. Along with sound negotiating and influencing skills.
