Carbon60 are proud to be partnering with Lufthansa Technik Landing Gear Services to recruit for an NDT Technician. Lufthansa Technik are a global leading provider of maintenance, repair, and overhaul services for the civil aviation industry.
This NDT Technician position is on a permanent basis and has become available due to continued growth and expansion. In this role you will be responsible for utilising a variety of testing methods to ensure the highest quality of components with the focus of continued airworthiness and safety.
Responsibilities include:
- Daily inspection of an array of aerospace components in line with engineering drawings and service manuals
- Conducting a variety of NDT and visual tests on a variety of aerospace components. Specific tests include:
- Dye Penetration
- Ultra Sonic Tests
- Magnetic Particle Inspection
- Barkhausen Noise Tests
- Manual handling of large components utilising jigs and slings
- Recording of NDT tests and inspections and reporting of defects
- Working on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern with the standard working week of 40 hours
The ideal candidate would have:
- NDT testing experience of aerospace components within an aviation/Part-145 environment, preferably with experience on Boeing components
- Knowledge in the use of engineering drawings and service manuals
- Basic understanding of aviation quality standards and regulations
- Full and long-term working rights within the UK
