Job description

Network Co-ordinator
Home-based (with access to a working space in North East Wales)
About the Organisation
Our client supports a network of physical activity groups and they exist to provide the skills, resources and funding needed for them to become sustainable and deliver services to the young people and communities they serve.
It has never been a harder time to be a young person growing up in the UK. Poverty, crime and mental health issues coupled with youth unemployment and COVID-19, have compounded already disadvantaged communities and individuals and widened inequalities.
Our client supports community groups that seek to remove barriers from young people’s lives to allow them to thrive against the odds.
They’re now looking for a Network Co-ordinator to join them on a part-time basis, working 22.5 hours per week, for a three-year fixed-term contract (with a possible extension, dependant on funding).
The Benefits
- Salary of £26,500 - £28,000 per annum pro rata
- 25 days’ holiday in addition to statutory bank holidays (pro rata)
- Two additional days of personal leave per year for religious holidays and/or wellbeing days
- Volunteer Days - two additional days of paid leave each year to volunteer for another charity or our client’s members
- Up to five days of paid study leave for self-funded education/training
- Flexible working arrangements
- A confidential counselling service
- Access to a pension scheme to give you peace of mind
- Virtual Diversity & Inclusion ‘Open Space’ every month
- Cycle to Work Scheme to support their commitment to promoting healthy living
- Discounted offer for a 12-month Tastecard+ membership
This is an incredible opportunity for an individual with a track record of delivering project and programmes alongside partner organisations to make an impact with our client’s passionate organisation.
You’ll discover a rewarding role, where you’ll increase their reach and enable more disadvantaged young people to build on their skills and benefit from their services.
What’s more, alongside a range of benefits, this is a great chance to expand upon your existing skillset, whilst bringing together your range of experience and advancing your career alongside a great cause!
The Role
As a Network Co-ordinator, you will empower and support community groups, growing our client’s project.
The project seeks to connect community groups for collective action to address issues of shared concern. It connects community groups inside and outside our client’s network along with local partners.
Leading project delivery, you will co-ordinate the development of the community network, engaging local organisations and partners to grow and sustain the network.
You will also deploy volunteer consultants to support local community organisations, identifying their priorities and supporting them to grow and sustain activity.
Additionally, you will:
- Support content creation for member and network communications
- Demonstrate the use of social media platforms, channels and other alternative
communication methods
- Maintain accurate project administration
- Act as the primary contact for our client’s members within the area
- Support and promote membership to non-members, processing new applications and conducting onboarding calls
About You
To be considered as a Network Co-ordinator, you will need:
- Experience of working with partner organisations and stakeholders to deliver projects and programmes
- Experience of working in a client facing or membership support role
- Experience of administering or delivering programmes or projects to a high standard
- Experience of database management
- A confident telephone manner when speaking to members and stakeholders
- An understanding of the policies and procedures required to support grant applications
- An understanding of the voluntary, community physical activity or youth sector
The closing date for this role is the 27th May 2024.
