The Role

Involving a major programme reorg, improving processes and structures of existing teams and the replacement of physical infrastructure.
Skills & Experience

• Industry knowledge - Telecom experience preferable, expertise in Network Delivery, technology programme control, stakeholder management, process improvement and business transformation
  

• Risk Management Experience - Identifying risks, balancing the threats and opportunities associated with the risks.
  Taking appropriate mitigating action against the risk and tracking and managing risks over their lifetime
  

• Large Scale Programme Mgmt Experience - Including Definition & Mgmt of Programme Processes and Structures - KPIs, governance, reporting, change control, risk and issues, financial, resourcing, planning, communication and roles and responsibilities across workstreams
  

• Someone with a core of steel, someone who can influence but challenge senior stakeholders, giving confidence but gaining trust in a major scale and complex environment
  

• A professional who has a very good appreciation of technology and has evidence of implementing a major technology programme that has been Architected properly

Your Responsibilities

• Accountable for major/complex network technology delivery for converged core, ensuring e2e delivery against designs from relevant platform teams
  

• Major prog reorg, Servicing risk, Major prog delivery, Managing budget, Fix processes, structure and culture of this programme
  

• Owning and facilitating decisions across multiple release and portfolio areas with senior stakeholders
  

• Managing a team to deliver complex and large-scale technology development and solutions
  

• Applying technical expertise to provide direction and make commercial decisions focused on wider converged technology lifecycle, setting roadmaps and defining and driving towards a desired future state
  

• Driving team's understanding of customer and user-centric technical process design, driving and implementing improvements to enhance the customer and user experience
  

• Making authoritative recommendations that balance delivery, strategic direction and operational performance
  

• Responsible for working understanding demand and ensuring proactive capacity planning to ensure teams are adequately resourced to cope with fluctuating business demand
  

• Managing escalations for major releases/portfolio areas, agreeing on any changes with stakeholders
  

• Agreeing on initial finance and scope of portfolio areas with stakeholders and applying cross-release and/or IP level cost control.
  Ensure all release/portfolio areas meet budget targets and deliver agreed business capability
