Customer Design & Delivery is part of the Operations unit within Global. We operate as a network design community in different units across the globe. In the UK, we have 50+ designers working across Global strategic locations. Our global team design and deliver complex network solutions for different multinational corporations and Enterprise accounts.
In this role you will help Customer Design & Delivery team to achieve its vision “To be the World's best Customer Consultancy Solution & Integration team” We enable BT to do good business, by focussing on three key areas:

The Customer Solutions Design Practitioner delivers end-to-end technical designs, ensuring that business requirements are successful translated into deliverable solutions, which meet customer needs whilst considering the impact of those solutions on all technical and business areas.
What you’ll be doing
• Lead and implement the design and development of network solutions for Datacentre Infrastructure domain
• To provide analytical and innovative input to design/support projects undertaken by the frontline designers (TD's)
• Leads complex DC/ Cloud infrastructure (network, cloud and cloud security) design/implementation and migration.
• Participate in work stream planning process, including inception, technical design, development, testing and delivery of network solutions, troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve high severity issues or problems when approached
• Provide assistance in complex Network Upgrades and Network Migration activities (occasional requirement for out of hours implementation activity)
Skills you'll need
• Planning, Designing, and Implementation around Data Centre Networking, Cloud Compute and Cloud Security products and solutions.
• Technical leadership of at least one particular technical area/domain within a portfolio
• Deep understanding of routing protocols, ability to plan, prioritize, organize, schedule and execute assignments
• Knowledge of virtualisation tools and concepts
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components, Servers, Cloud –AWS/Azure/Alibaba
• Planning, Designing, and Implementation around Data Centre Networking, Cloud Compute and Cloud Security products and solutions.

Flexible Working
This role offers a 3 together, 2 wherever working model. This means you are required to be at your contractual location 3 days a week with 2 flexible days per week.
