Job Title: Network Engineering Degree Apprentice
Start Date: October 2024
Locations: Bracknell, Basingstoke or Solihull (4 days office based, 1 day for virtual study.) Potential Shift working.

As a Degree Apprentice Fujitsu you will be allocated to one of our Early Careers Role streams. Each role stream will provide you with the specific training, network and support you need to get off to a flying start in your careers at Fujitsu.
To compliment the role stream specific training, you will also undertake a modular development programme. This covers key skills such as self-awareness, leadership, business awareness and business knowledge. Each module will provide you the opportunity to take charge of your own development and allow you to expand your network with the full Early Careers cohort across Europe.
Fujitsu are running an exciting apprenticeship programme where you will be enrolled on a four-year Digital & Technology Solutions L6 Degree Apprenticeship.

80% of your time will be spent on the job, with 20% dedicated to studying with one of our University partners towards a debt-free degree!
You will be aligned to our Network Engineering role stream which will enable you to develop your skills in Network Engineering. Throughout your apprenticeship programme you will:
- Gain certified administration and implementation qualifications
- Attend university studies virtually one day a week and earn while you learn
- Experience training and development in ‘soft’ skills and ‘technical’ skills
- Learn to be part of a high-performing team
Working alongside Network Engineer colleagues you will:
- Realtime management and monitoring toolsets to support the customer environment.
- Review incoming Incident records to determine whether the case has been allocated. correctly, and positively accept them for further investigation.
- Liaising with 3 rd party engineers to troubleshoot issues.
- Investigate Incidents / Problems using a combination of diagnostic tools, existing knowledge, skills and experience, and information from the Incident/Problem/Change/Known Error databases small to medium sized project work.
- Investigating service improvements.
- Raise and route external cases to 3rd parties if required.
- Proactively identify potential threats to service or operations.
Fujitsu has Network Engineers across a variety of business areas, if successful you would be selected to work in any of the following areas:
- WAN NOC 1 st Line Support
- SD WAN 1 st Line Technical Support
- LAN Network Analyst

Entry Requirements:

To be accepted onto the Degree Apprenticeshipyou must hold one of the following acceptable qualifications including:
- Two A levels in one or more similar subject.*
- Level 3 apprenticeship in a similar subject.
- International Baccalaureate at Level 3 in a similar subject.
- BTEC Extended Diploma in a similar subject.
- A work experience route (2-3 years) in a similar subject-related role.
'Similar subject' relates to areas directly relevant to or commensurate with 'Digital and Technology Solutions'. Typically this would be areas such as but not limited to Level 3 digital apprenticeships, A-Level/BTEC Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, Software Engineering, etc.
Recruitment process
After your initial application you will be asked to complete an online assessment, please allow up to 60 minutes to complete. Please answer all questions honestly, we want to see the authentic you, to understand your strengths and how you could contribute as an Early Career Professional at Fujitsu. The next stage of the process is a virtual assessment centre and interview.
Candidates will be required to undergo a level of security clearance necessary for this role and must be willing and eligible to do so.

Assessment Centre’s will take place in June/July.
