SalaryStatus: Remote | £400-475 p/day | Outside IR35 | 6 months+.
Supporting a significant infrastructure upgrade; working in a huge private cloud environment.
The role will involve supporting the development and delivery of migrations plans. The role is to assist with migrating customers on to our client’s virtual cloud platform, as well as acting as the technical network planning resource for the migrations team to ensure the customers have a positive migration experience.
Role Details:
- Work with the support teams to understand and map out the customers solution.
- Support the build out simple migration plans in conjunction with the project managers and the customer as well as contributing to the rightsizing of migrated customer solutions.
- Work with the support teams on developing complex migrations plans.
- Perform prechecks, ACL and VPN assessments.
- Perform set up of new customer environments in our VMWare cloud platform.
- Assist with manual data transfers between solutions.
- Assist with automated P2V migration using Veeam.
- Conduct post migration QA testing.
What will I bring to the role?
- Configuring and supporting Cisco ASA.
- Network concepts including VPN’s, ACL’s, HSRP, STP.
- Experience working with VMware and NSX (NSX-T)
- Strong technical troubleshooting and diagnostic expertise, experience of network automation technologies, experience completing physical to virtual migrations, with experience producing good quality documentation.
