THE OPPORTUNITY
We have commenced our search for an experienced Financial Administratorto join our brand new property Holiday Inn Blackpool Marco's New York Italian Restaurant. Due to open Spring 2024, and reporting to the Financial Controller. This brand-new four-star hotel is part of a wider regeneration project for Blackpool including retail units and improved public transport links, with a new tram terminal, all within the Talbot Gateway central business district. The property boasts 144 bedrooms, 3 meeting rooms and well renowned restaurant Marco Pierre White New York Italian, with independent street access.
Duties and responsibilities for this amazing role includes the following:
- Support the Financial Controller to ensure that financial controls are in place and are being adhered to at all times.
- To assist colleagues and other members of staff to create teamwork and quality service through communication.
- To be pleasant, polite and courteous to guests at all times and acknowledge all guests when you meet them.
- Purchase Ledger administration, process high volume of invoices.
- Carry out month end float checks and ad-hoc spot checks throughout the month.
- General office duties as required.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

- Ability to analyse large volume of complex financial information from many sources and create reports, forecasts, and projections.
- Strong problem-solving skills, including ability to effectively address any issue in collaboration with other departments as appropriate.
- Ability to proactively identify and prevent potential problems.
- Ability to help develop problem solving skills among direct reports and other team members as appropriate.
- Ability to take initiative to identify, prioritise and implement all elements required for team to fulfil responsibilities.
- Detail oriented and organised.
- Ability to develop presentations and effectively present to all levels of company, hotels owners.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills (all levels of management and external customers).
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word and Outlook with the ability to quickly learn new programs when required.
Start date for Financial Administrator : Late April 2024
