Legal Compliance Officer - Quality Cardiff Firm
My Client are looking for an experienced Compliance Officer to develop and implement an effective Legal Compliance program for the firm.
Requirements:
- You will have 2 plus years relevant experience in a compliance role
- Candidates with significantly more experience from other fields would be considered
- You must be able to demonstrate detailed knowledge and technical expertise in risk management and our industry standard
- Knowledge of legal requirements and controls (e.g. Anti-Money Laundering, or AML)
- You will have a drive to succeed and provide excellent client service
- You will be a go getter and have a 'can do’ attitude
- You will possess strong commercial awareness as well as strong integrity and professional ethics
- You should be a reliable professional who is not afraid to speak their mind and stand by their decisions
Job role:
- Your goal will be to ensure the firm operate in a legal and ethical manner while meeting their business objectives
- Develop and implement an effective Legal Compliance program
- Create sound internal controls and monitor adherence to them
- Ensuring maintenance of all records and registers as required by the SRA
- Communicating with the SRA as required
- Collaborate with external auditors and HR when needed
- Responding to day to day queries from the firm’s fee earners
- Educate and train employees on regulations and industry practices
- Collaborate with other departments to create a culture of compliance.
