We are now looking for an experienced transport dispatcher to work as part of a team in our busy operations office.
Position Overview:
- The role is varied but the primary position is to allocate booked jobs to both employed and subcontract drivers from our booking platform
- In this role you will be working alongside the Transport Manager / Planner .
- The role will develop and become more involved as experience & operational knowledge grows.
The right person will have:
- Experience in transport dispatch Good I.T input skills
- A good knowledge of the UK and road networks Be able to communicate and give clear instructions to drivers
- Monitor delivery times ensuring delivery schedules are met. Not be easily flustered
- Able to adapt to changing transport scenarios and offer solutions to problems that may arise
- Be able to work under pressure and communicate any issues to the team.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Monday – Friday (work within rota for on call phone cover when fully trained
- Pay: Depending on experience
