NHS Catering Assistant

Manpower is recruiting a Catering Assistant on behalf of our public sector client the NHS.

Location: Merthyr Tydfil

Job Type: Part time
Contract: Temporary ongoing
Hours: You will be on a 2-week rota splitting between following shifts.
7.30 am - 1.30 pm and/or 1.30 pm - 6.30 pm
Week 1 is 4 days per week and Week 2 is 3 days per week including weekends and Bank Holidays

Hourly rate:

• £11.45 on weekdays
• £16.14 on Saturdays and nights
• £20.95 on Sundays and Bank Holidays

Start date: Immediate subject to satisfactory written references.

The role
As an NHS Catering Assistant, you will work collaboratively with a team to deliver catering services in accordance with stringent hygiene standards and Food Hygiene Legislation,
Your main responsibilities will include

Responsibilities:

• Always upholding strict hygiene and cleanliness standards.
• Assisting in the efficient and timely delivery of food services in a healthcare environment.
• Providing exceptional customer service to patients, staff, and visitors.
• Supporting food preparation in the kitchen as required.
• Performing cleaning and dishwasher duties, along with shutdown procedures.

Requirements:

• Preferably has catering / retail experience or a willingness to learn
• Must be flexible with hours
• Has a positive attitude and a friendly, caring demeanour
• Enjoys working as part of a team.
• Is conscientiousness and has a strong work ethic
