About the Night Hygiene Manager job
The purpose of your role will be to take responsibility for driving site hygiene standards by ensuring there is a hygiene management system in place, lead and motivate the Hygiene team in delivering the standards.
Key tasks
- Support the business in implementing BRC standards, prepare and complete audits to maintain hygiene standards in all areas, and driving timely completion of all actions.
- Ensure the company complies with all relevant hygiene legislation and all Health, Safety and Environmental procedures are followed. Establish, manage, and monitor standards, processes, communications, training, and systems to ensure all responsibilities associated with hygiene across the company and work with other areas of the business to develop a positive hygiene culture.
- Supporting a behavioural safety culture highlighting positive and negative behaviour, ensuring teams works in a safe, hygienic manner following company guidelines, and escalating accidents and incidents appropriately, reorganise areas of improvement.
- Drive a food safety quality culture through engagement and continuous improvement to maintain and improve the safety, authenticity, legality, and quality of products manufactured on site.
- Develop an efficient way of dismantling, cleaning and putting machinery parts together. Work with Technical Manager and HR Department to identify and develop talent and coach colleagues to support future succession planning.
About You
The successful candidate shall possess Food Hygiene Level 3, HACCP Level 3 with experience in a food manufacturing technical role and a background of leading a team. Your previous roles should have provided knowledge of BRC standards and cleaning chemicals.
- Ideally have good knowledge of I.T and Microsoft 365 Dynamic systems.
- Previous experience in creating, implementing, and managing cleaning and hygiene program.
- Knowledge of food machinery dismantling, cleaning and putting parts back together.
- Degree or equivalent in the relevant technical discipline.
- Knowledge of H&S within a business.
- Demonstrable knowledge of COSHH.

The Night Hygiene Manager job is based in Essex and is paying £35,000 - £42,000 according to your experience.
The working hours are Monday - Friday 7:00pm – 4:00am.
