A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A (NIGHT MANAGER) AT (THE GANTRY HOTEL)
What you'll be doing...
This is a hands-on role and the successful applicant must be able to display great leadership skills, deliver excellent customer service, have a positive ‘can do’ attitude, be willing to learn and show that they care.
You ideally are an experienced Night Manager who has worked in a branded hotel and had success managing a team. Previous experience with Hilton systems would be preferable but not essential criteria.
As Night Manager, you will oversee the night-hour supervision of the Front Office Night Team to ensure that Team Members are prepared and well-informed to deliver our Guests an exceptional experience from check-in through check-out.
This role is responsible for managing the first impressions of our Guests and, therefore, you need to have good problem-solving skills and flexibility to respond to a variety of work situations. As a Night Manager, you have to maximize room occupancy at the best rates and use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities; and demonstrate current knowledge of hotel products, services, pricing, and policies, as well as knowledge of the local area.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

We're looking for an individual who has;
- Ability to work as part of a team and be flexible to adapt to business needs
- The ability to learn multiple IT systems and be computer literate.
- Act by all security and emergency procedures and manage the instigation of these, as required
- Compile adequate handover to Early staff / Duty Manager
- Attend appropriate training courses when required.
- Act by policies and procedures when working with front-of-house equipment and property management systems
- Conduct Health and Safety Checks and Night Walks, and maintain a good status awareness of all hotel areas
- Assist other departments, as necessary.
