We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join our Medivet Woodstock 24 hour on a full time basis working 7 nights on 7 nights off. The role is a great opportunity for any RVN who wants variety in a large multi vet practice that is the hub of the region. The practice provides out of hour care, hospitalisation and case work up for our surrounding branches as well as first opinion provision within the week.

Woodstock is a market town renowned for its antique shops and galleries, as well as a great selection of pubs and restaurants. Conveniently located just eight miles North West of Oxford, Woodstock gives a great base to explore Oxfordshire and nearby Cotswolds.
Medivet Woodstock is a busy and well-established 24-hour Hospital which supports the surrounding practices in Oxfordshire with their out-of-hour needs.
Our 24-hour Veterinary Hospital has full access to state-of-the-art facilities such as an orthopaedic theatre, digital x-ray, ECG, MRI, CT imaging and much more.
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated night nurse with a passion for emergency and critical care who enjoys working to a gold standard. Experience of working in a busy practice or hospital would be preferred.
This role will involve working 12 hour shifts, 7 nights on, 7 nights off.
All our clinics share the same software so you will have full access to the patients' history at all times. Case continuity guaranteed!
Role Accountabilities:

In this role you will:
- Provide first class clinical care through consultations, procedures and monitoring.
- Complete clinical handover and arrange transfer of any patient needing out of hours or enhanced care.
- Provide exceptional client care giving clear updates on patients, resolving issues as they arise.
- Observe the highest standards of regulatory, practice and operational compliance.
- Prepare accurate estimates for clients, ensuring payment and minimising debt.
- Maximise capacity through the most effective utilisation of clinical skills.
- Hold engaging clinical meetings with veterinary and nursing teams.
- Support and carry out colleague clinical mentoring / development.
- Pro-actively support and share clinical best practice within and across clinics and the wider Medivet community.
Skills and Experience:
- RCVS registered.
- Small animal practice experience.
- A client-oriented approach, with excellent communication skills.
- Experience of working to the highest medical standards.
- Experience of working with a team to develop a practice.
- Experience of building trusting relationships with colleagues and working effectively as part of a team.
- A great communicator, you will be an outstanding and positive example to others.
