We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join our Medivet Woodstock 24 hour on a part time basis working 30 hours per week. The role is a great opportunity for any RVN who wants variety in a large multi vet practice that is the hub of the region. The practice provides out of hour care, hospitalisation and case work up for our surrounding branches as well as first opinion provision within the week.

Your average day will include a variety of nursing and surgical duties, reception duties as well as assisting with clinical coaching and supporting our Student Veterinary Nurses. Full support will be provided as you will work closely within our experienced team.
You must have a passion for delivering outstanding client and patient care and enjoy working in a supportive working environment.
You’ll have a friendly and positive attitude and want to progress and expand your knowledge and skills further.
Role accountabilities:

In this role you will:
- Provide first class clinical care through consultations, procedures and monitoring.
- Complete clinical handover and arrange transfer of any patient needing out of hours or enhanced care.
- Provide exceptional client care giving clear updates on patients, resolving issues as they arise.
- Observe the highest standards of regulatory, practice and operational compliance.
- Prepare accurate estimates for clients, ensuring payment and minimising debt.
- Maximise capacity through the most effective utilisation of clinical skills.
- Hold engaging clinical meetings with veterinary and nursing teams.
- Support and carry out colleague clinical mentoring / development.
- Pro-actively support and share clinical best practice within and across clinics and the wider Medivet community.
Your skills and experience:
- RCVS registered.
- Small animal practice experience.
- A client-oriented approach, with excellent communication skills.
- Experience of working to the highest medical standards.
- Experience of working with a team to develop a practice.
- Experience of building trusting relationships with colleagues and working effectively as part of a team.
- A great communicator, you will be an outstanding and positive example to others.
