We are now working with a leading Not-for-profit veterinary group with 11 locations across the region, including the North West, Yorkshire, and North Wales We are currently seeking experienced vets and nurses to join our dedicated team.
The group have three hospitals and provide top-notch care with state-of-the-art facilities. 2 of the Hospital have CT scanners, ensuring that their diagnostic capabilities are second to none.
- This pivotal role involves delivering continuous, high-quality Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) during night hours. Ideal for individuals thriving in fast-paced environments and committed to making a meaningful impact, this opportunity provides a supportive, 24-hour operational setting.
Position: Night/ECC Veterinary Surgeon (Hospital Based)
Location: Ellesmere Port
Salary: £60,000- £80,000
Working Hours: 7 on/ 14 off NIght rota
Benefits:
- A salary of £50,000-£70,000 (FTE £92,000)
Responsibilities include:
- Providing overnight ECC to a diverse caseload, ensuring consistent, high-quality care for all inpatients.
- Utilizing advanced diagnostic tools such as ultrasound, radiography, and CT during shifts.
- Collaborating with a highly skilled night nursing team and consulting with other veterinary specialists, including surgeons and internal medicine experts.
- Ensuring smooth case transitions from the day team to night staff, maintaining continuity and quality of care.
- Actively engaging in development and training opportunities to enhance clinical skills.
Qualifications:
- A qualified Veterinary Surgeon with a passion for emergency and critical care.
- Demonstrated ability to manage diverse and complex cases independently.
- Strong communication skills, capable of empathizing with pet owners during stressful situations.
- Ability to work cohesively with both day and night team members.
- Enthusiasm for working in a dynamic, night-time veterinary environment.
