Maintenance Engineer (Food Manufacturing – not meat produce)
£42,370 + shift handover pay (equates to extra £10,000 on top of salary)
Sunday to Thursday 10pm to 6am + 30 minute paid shift handover

We are recruiting a Maintenance Engineer for a leading food production company in Doncaster. This is a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operations of our client’s production facility. Responsible for both Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance using Shire systems.

What will the Maintenance Engineer be required to do?
- Conduct maintenance on machinery, fixtures, fittings, and buildings, including electrical systems.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance situations.
- Collaborate with production and technical staff to identify areas for maintenance and engineering improvements.
- Manage the ordering and organisation of plant/machinery items and spares.
- Ensure thorough documentation control for all maintenance activities.
- Execute all Planned Preventative Maintenance on schedule to company standards.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues to swiftly resolve any operational issues.
- Monitor machinery performance and proactively initiate improvement measures to minimise downtime.
- Communicate safety issues, quality concerns, and machinery problems effectively.
- Support production improvements, projects, and reconfigurations as needed.
- Implement work in accordance with relevant business processes and quality systems.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the production department.
What we need from the Maintenance Engineer?
- 17th or 18th Edition BS7671 certification – desirable
- Mechanical/Electrical apprenticeship or qualifications
- Previous experience in maintenance role, preferable in a factory environment
- HACCP – desirable
