Job Role:
- Overseeing the work of all the different trades and contractors on site
- Coordinating with the project manager or client to ensure that the project is progressing according to plan
- Managing the project budget and schedule
- Ensuring that all safety procedures are being followed
- Identifying and resolving any issues or problems that arise
- Communicating with other managers and employees to ensure the project is on track
- Conducting regular site inspections to ensure that all work is carried out to the required standards
Requirements:
- Within the UK Construction Industry Site managers require SMSTS, the industry wide recognised site management safety training scheme.
- Relevant CSCS card, First Aid at Work, UK driving licence, HNC or above within construction
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and direct a team effectively
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions on the job
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage conflicting priorities and competing demands
- Good organizational skills and the ability to plan and prioritize tasks effectively
- The ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines
- Good understanding of construction processes and building regulations
- Site Managers are expected to have a good understanding of construction processes and building regulations.
