The Vacancy
Alliance Homes is a housing association that makes a positive difference to peoples’ lives.
We exist to create places to live that our customers are proud to call home. To us it’s not just bricks and mortar.
We care about the people who live in our homes, and we provide support services and help our neighbourhoods to thrive.
We’re looking for a Board Member with a background in finance who’s passionate about tackling the housing crisis.
Initially the role will be to join the Board with a view to becoming Chair of our Audit and Risk Committee, so a proven track record in a senior finance role is essential.
As a Board Member you’ll share our ambitions and focus to do the right thing for our customers and neighbourhoods. Along with the Board, you’ll be instrumental in setting the strategic direction and ensuring the right controls and robust governance are in place for our continued success. You must be prepared to bring sound judgement, constructive challenge and be aligned to our values.
Our aim is to bring together a Board team where all voices are heard at the table. We understand that diversity brings strength and helps us make the best decisions for our customers and colleagues. We’re seeking to broaden the diversity of our Board and would welcome applications from candidates from underrepresented groups or candidates with experience of living in Social Housing.
To apply you should attach an up-to-date CV of no more than three pages. You’re welcome to include a covering letter of no more than one page that tells us why you are right for us.
Closing date: 29 September 2023
