Our Client is one of the most iconic and well-known leading Motorcycle manufacturers in the World. Creating modern classics and with a healthy order book, it is our privilege to now be supporting them with the recruitment of an experienced NVH Engineer on a permanent basis.
As their NVH Engineer, you will work as part of their Powertrain Test team.
On offer to the successful candidate will be a negotiable, albeit based on relevant experience basic salary, together with a full comprehensive benefits package and bonus.
Your duties and responsibilities will be:

• To take acoustic and vibration measurements, checking the resulting data, carrying out appropriate analyses and generating reports based on the findings. In order to do this, you must be conversant with NVH instrumentation types and be able to select the appropriate instrumentation for the task specified; be capable of fitting instrumentation to the item to be tested and be able to acquire, process and present data using Siemens Test Lab software and hardware.
• You will conduct pass-by and other tests to ensure that company Motorcycles meet statutory and regulatory requirements regarding noise emissions.
• You will carry out correlation testing to validate the results of CAE NVH simulations.
• You will work with peers in order to get the best team performance.

You will have the following qualifications & experience:

• Should ideally have a Post Graduate Engineering qualification, although plenty of relevant experience will be considered.
• Should offer good experience as an NVH Engineer with your expertise having been gained from working in the Automotive / Motorsport or better still Motorcycle manufacturing sectors.
• You should ideally have experience of correlating test data with simulation results.
• Any experience with RLDA instrumentation (DC accelerometers, LVDTs, strain gauges, rugged loggers etc.) would be a read advantage.
• Likewise, any experiences you have in CAE correlation for modal response, transfer path analysis and acoustic transmission loss would be a real bonus. An awareness of PYTHON programming with some basic level of proficiency would be preferable; as would any knowledge of transfer path analysis and acoustic transmission loss.
• An awareness or experience of acquiring and checking Road-Load Data would be useful to have too, but this is not essential.

It’s great if you also have the following:

• Significant Powertrain NVH experience.
• A passion for motorcycles and familiarity with the motorcycle market.
