Wiltshire Police – Occupational Health Technician

Wiltshire Police have an exciting new opportunity for a qualified Occupational Health Technician with experience conducting screening programmes within a volume and highly structured intake environment and this should have come from a medical or healthcare setting.
Working as part of our dedicated OHU team you will be comfortable managing your own schedule and workload and will be either an experienced OHT or health care assistant qualified to a minimum of NVQ Level 3.
You will assist in providing a full range of screening support services for the Occupational Health Unit including administering and interpreting health screening assessments in; Audiometric, Lung function and Eyesight.
Please note that during peak intake periods there may be a requirement for occasional evening work however this is the exception rather than the norm.
In addition to the core experience outlined, you should be able to demonstrate:
- Awareness and understanding of the Health & Safety executive standards
- Experience of devising efficient administrative systems and processes
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Previous experience compiling and writing reports
- Maintaining and keeping accurate and up-to-date records
- Excellent attention to detail and previous experience working to established protocols Experience using MS Word, Outlook and Excel
The OHU is a small and friendly team based on-site at Police HQ in Devizes alongside a numb er of core operational and support functions. In addition to the salary offered and generous pension scheme you will receive 25 days holiday + Bank holiday’s, free parking, onsite canteen and gym facilities.

- Formal translation from a reputable source for any foreign language or symbol tattoos
- Any paperwork relating to discharged debts, CCJ, bankruptcy etc
- Deed poll certificate for any name changes
