We are looking for a dedicated individual to join the organisation as an Occupational Therapist and be a part of our multi-disciplinary team. As an Occupational Therapist you will make a key contribution to providing effective person-centred support within our Meaningful Life Model. This describes our inclusive way of working which aims to make sure that individuals in our care have a voice so that they can be actively involved in their education, care and support.
About the role
As an Occupational Therapist you will provide a service to the young people (aged between 8 and 19 years). You will support individuals to develop skills to enable them to actively participate in a lifestyle of their choosing. You will have the opportunity to build meaningful therapeutic relationships with the individuals we support and every day you will be able to see the impact that your support has on their learning and quality of life.
As an Occupational Therapist you will have some knowledge and understanding of the occupational needs of a client group with learning disability, autism and complex needs and will build upon this understanding of needs throughout all individual interactions to bring about best practice in all aspects of engagement and a structured induction or Preceptorship Programme.
