As a Children’s Occupational Therapist at Luton, you’ll join a supportive learning culture, you’ll be able to influence change, challenge others and share your expertise.
With your understanding of child development and family dynamics, you’ll be working with Children, their families, carers and associated professionals with a wide range of disabilities, devising and providing a planned programme of therapeutic interventions, by undertaking environmental assessment of the Child’s home.
Working with Children, their families, carers and associated professionals, you’ll promote, enable and support independence and development, and maintain health and well-being for Children with disabilities to strength based and person centered approach to practice.
We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist with strong communications skills with the ability to build effective relationships with children and families, staff, public and other professionals.
You’ll have in-depth knowledge of current legislation, national guidelines, Social Care needs and best practice relevant to the post.
This role may see you making informed judgements and high-risk decisions in challenging situations. No matter the case or task, you’ll always promote anti-discriminatory practice and empower others.
We do ask that you have a diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy and Health Professions Council registration.
