We are seeking an Talent & OD Consultant (Talent & Organisational Development) for our HR Team for a 12 - 15 month fixed-term contract initially. This is to support the team and Head of OD&T with our partner level OD&T activities. This role can be based from Amersham, London, Guildford or Birmingham ideally.
The HR team are based across our offices including Cheltenham, Bristol, Birmingham and Amersham. It provides a full HR service to the Firm encompassing Total Rewards, Employee Experience & Engagement, OD & Talent, Resourcing and Talent Acquisition, and HR Operations. The Talent & OD Consultant reports to the HR Business Lead, Organisational Development & Talent.
We are ideally seeing an enthusiastic individual with Senior Stakeholder engagement experience and excellent presentation and reporting skills.
Responsibilities
The key purpose of this role is to work directly with internal clients to understand their needs and shape learning and development products and solutions that will deliver measurable impacts and value-for-money outcomes aligned to the firm’s priorities.
As Talent & OD Consultant you will be instrumental to the delivery of the Talent & OD strategy, providing in-house expertise in soft skills training, team development and facilitation, as well as leading on key organisations development projects. The offering will be relevant, progressive taking into account best practice whilst maximising return on investment.
Key elements & responsibilities:
- Act as an internal consultant devising and implementing development solutions that align with the Talent & OD strategy that enhances and drives organisational effectiveness
- Be a Trusted Advisor for our teams provide guidance and support to business leaders on specific development requests
- Ability to analyse and diagnose areas for improvement with teams and recommend solutions that are appropriate to need of the individual, team and the Firm objectives
- Provide skilful design, delivery and facilitation for agreed events workshops, and modules
- Design and deliver a wide range of learning interventions, in line with the company values of Respect, Quality, Partnership and Principled
- Utilize a wide range of delivery methods, including face-to-face, virtual and digital delivery to ensure a blended learning approach
- Increase accessibility of learning opportunities for our teams ensuring that we encompass the ethos and best practice guidelines of our Work Smart policy
- Adopt a continuous improvement approach ensuring a robust evaluation process is in place to measure current activity and propose where necessary new solutions such as podcasts and vlogs, which complement our L&D offering
- Actively contribute to sharing best practice and ideas of working within the Talent &OD team to ensure that we are providing a consistent and high level of service for our teams. Strive to deliver the Firms unifying thought “beyond the expected” in all that we do
- At times lead on discreet and confidential OD and learning and development projects, aligned to our People & Culture plan
- Work in conjunction with the Talent & OD Lead and Team to build and implement annual L&D plan in line with the Talent & OD Strategy
- Support in the design and delivery of management and leadership development programmes and Firm wide projects as and when required
- Track and design metrics to ensure ROI and produce where required accurate data for Management Board papers and reports as deemed necessary
- Contribute to projects and initiatives within the wider HR functional team
- Adopt a proactive approach to problem solving and be confident in the ability to keep stakeholders abreast of developments in a timely and appropriate manner that may affect agreed outcomes
- Develop an internal network across the business to ensure development solutions are in line with business developments and that Talent & OD team continue to lead on appropriate business solutions
- Scope out project plans ensuring timely and measured activities are in line with Firm objectives, client expectations and costs

Experience/Qualifications
- Ideally 5-8 years related experience in a learning and development environment
- Ability to administer psychometrics & team development tools (desirable)
- IT literate and competent in Teams and/or Zoom
- Proven experience in a L&D Specialist, Consultant, Trainer or Business Partner role with a track record in designing, developing and evaluating high impact development solutions
- Degree, CIPD or equivalent qualifications and/or experience
- Experience of working with a wide range of teams across various disciplines
- Experience of working with senior stakeholders
- Experience in managing third party supplier relationships
- Experience in internal and external relationship management
