We now have an opportunity to join our team as an Office Administrator primarily covering Wight Fire Doors works but also assisting with Wight Fire & Security work where required.
Based in the Wight Fire offices in Sandown, we are looking for a capable person to look after the ‘behind the scenes’ operations for our fire door company. This will involve carrying out a number of duties including liaising with customer enquires via phone, email and occasionally in person whilst also working closely with the Director, preparing quotes, ensuring that works are booked in correctly and that the parts for quoted works have been ordered. The role will also include some accounts work using Sage.
The service we provide to our customers is second to none, therefore it is important to us that you take pride in your ability to offer a consistently professional and friendly service as well as being an excellent communicator, whether this be over the phone, face to face or via email. Alongside your customer service and communication skills, we are also looking for you to have an excellent attention to detail and an ability to work well within a hardworking, close-knit team!
Due to this being an office-based position you will need to hold a good understanding of Microsoft programs, particularly Word and Excel. Previous experience with Sage would also be beneficial. Experience in a similar administrative role will be required, although we will offer you specific job training, we need someone familiar with basic administrative tasks to ensure you can confidently and quickly learn the role. The successful applicant will need to be confident in dealing with the public as well as being able to communicate regularly with our team members.
This is a part-time opportunity, working 09:00am to 2:00pm, Monday to Friday and we can offer a great rate of pay, a company pension scheme with a 5% contribution from us and 23 days holiday (including a Christmas shutdown) plus bank holidays. We are currently operating a trial period of working a 4.5 day week, finishing at 12.45pm on Fridays which we hope to make a permanent benefit.
