Office Manager
Location: Normanton
Salary: £30,000 pa
Hours: 09:00 – 17:00 Monday to Friday
This is a maternity cover position for 9-12 months
Total Recruit are looking for an Office Manager to cover maternity for their well established client based in Normanton. The role is working in the office of storage and distribution business and involves looking after the office and liaising with the warehouse team.
Duties will include:
- Supervising and monitoring a small team of admin staff.
- Maintaining office policies, procedures and managing health and safety procedures
- Assisting HR with associated staff appraisals and training
- Dealing with correspondence, complaints, and queries as required
- Prepare letters, presentations, and reports.
- Liaise with the warehouse to maintain a good working relationship with the office and warehouse.
- Ensure stock is checked and recorded
- Carry out performance appraisals, 1-1’s and probationary reviews.
- Record office expenditure and manage the office budget.
- Maintain data protection of employee information at all times.
- Any other adhoc administration duties as required
Skills Required:
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexible and adaptable to the changing working environment.
- Be a role model with regards to company polices and procedures
- Demonstrate the ability to evaluate your own work and draw conclusions on how it can be performed better (Performance Appraisals, 1-2-1s, informal conversations).
- Address any unacceptable behaviour within the team and be able to resolve any issues
- Be approachable and friendly.
