Job description

Office Manager - £30K to £35K (DOE) - City of London - Office Based

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day office operations, including reception duties, mail distribution, and office supply management.
  • Coordinate administrative activities such as scheduling meetings, arranging travel, and managing calendars for executives and staff.
  • Manage vendor relationships and procurement processes, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Maintain office policies and procedures, implementing necessary updates to enhance efficiency and compliance.
  • Supervise administrative staff, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
  • Ensure proper functioning of office equipment and systems, troubleshooting issues and liaising with IT support when necessary.
  • Assist in budget preparation and expense tracking, managing office expenditures within established guidelines.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and integrity, maintaining security protocols.
  • Organize company events and meetings, including logistics, catering, and materials preparation.
  • Foster a positive work environment by resolving conflicts, promoting teamwork, and implementing employee engagement initiatives.

About you:

  • Proven experience as an Office Manager or similar role, demonstrating strong organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency in office software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.
  • Prior experience in budget management and procurement processes is preferred.
