Overview:
An excellent opportunity has arisen with a leading financial services organisation for an experienced Project Manager to oversee the complete process of their Office Relocation project. This position involves managing either the leasing of additional floors within their current building or a full relocation to a new office space. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating with various suppliers, negotiating contracts, change management and ensuring the project is completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
Role and Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Develop a comprehensive project plan covering all aspects of the Office Relocation
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables
- Source and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors for office fit-out, moving services, IT infrastructure, and other requirements
- Negotiate contracts and ensure all contractual obligations are met
- Manage relationships with suppliers, ensuring quality and timely delivery of services
- Develop and manage the project budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with financial constraints.
- Monitor project expenditures and prepare regular financial reports for senior management.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders, including senior management, employees, and external vendors
- Provide regular project updates and status reports to key stakeholders
- Facilitate effective communication and ensure all parties are informed of project progress and change management
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Monitor and manage project risks, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
- Coordinate post-relocation activities, including settling into the new office space and addressing any issues that arise
- Conduct a post-project evaluation to assess outcomes and identify lessons learned
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Project management accreditation and associated tools e.g. Agile, Prince 2 etc
- Proven experience managing large-scale Office Relocation projects (400 seats +)
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Monday.com)
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field
Contract Details:
- 6 Month Contract, Outside IR35
- Rate dependent on experience
- Location: London City (Relocating locally)
