We are looking for a talented and experienced communications professional to work within the London and South East Advocacy and Communications team.
Reporting to the Head of Advocacy and Communications, London & South East your main responsibilities will include:
- supporting the development, implementation and monitoring of the Area's communications strategy and will help to deliver the wider organisation's communications strategy, ensuring that the reputation of the organisation is protected at all times.
- maintaining and updating Arts Council England's internal and external communications channels with information relating to local activities, and delivering Area announcements, including writing and distributing press releases, creating digital content and stakeholder messages, to advocate for the value of arts and culture to key stakeholders
- assisting with the management, evaluation and assessment of the impact and delivery of online content; media and PR; stakeholder management; and events and briefings, helping to instigate appropriate change in response to that evaluation.
- providing day-to-day communications support to the leadership team and other colleagues.
- acting as the first point of contact for media enquiries and as a source of knowledge and expertise on Arts Council England's funding portfolio and activity
- assisting in planning and event management of briefings and events held locally
- contributing to social media platforms, creating digital content, and using tools to interact, communicate, inform and empower audiences.
