An exciting opportunity to join a leading, independent Lloyds accredited Broker providing a broad range of wholesale (re)insurance solutions to clients across the globe as well as a thriving UK retail arm.
The Principal Contract Manager is a newly created role within the Broking Operations team. This will be a key position responsible for effective and compliant onboarding processes pertaining to agreements entered with regulated entities. As this is a new function there will be scope to develop and evolve the role and responsibilities over time.
Overview
- The onboarding and contract management of Group agreements entered with regulated entities (for example Introducer, IAR, AR, TOBAs, profit share and service agreements).
- Involvement with onboarding due diligence and on an ongoing basis.
- The administration of the agreements.
- Build and maintain a suitable database for the retention of such agreements.
- Engagements with other individuals within the Operations team involved in the onboarding of new counterparties, Compliance, Risk and Legal as appropriate.
- Supporting brokers to "select" the appropriate legal templates to document their arrangements. This may involve providing training alongside Legal.
- Acting as an internal point of contact for queries regarding these agreements.
- Support Senior stakeholder queries, including Board Members and Committee Members as required.
- Being the first point of contact for Brokers with responsibility for these agreements to ensure that changes are made to keep them up to date
- Working within any agreed SLAs to ensure maintenance of agreements and stakeholder management.
- Proactively engaging with Legal where issues with templates are flagged and when counterparties revert with queries or proposed amendments.
- Work as part of the core client money team to maintain controls and standards in accordance with the client money requirements.
Skills, Knowledge, Expertise
- Experience within a general insurance business environment, ideally Lloyds market.
- Experience in the oversight of regulated contracts and agreements with external third parties.
- Knowledge of TP onboarding processes.
- Understanding of legal principles and TP contract structures.
- Familiarity with FCA, Lloyds, PRA regulatory frameworks.
- Highly motivated individual, with the ability to work independently and effectively under tight time constraints.
- Excellent inter-personal, communication and influencing skills
- Ability to lead and influence through education to deliver cultural change.
