Operating Department Support Worker

We are currently looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic and friendly person to join our dynamic, fast paced Day Surgery Theatre Suite.

We offer wide and varied surgical specialties that include Maxillo Facial, ENT, General Surgery, Orthopaedic trauma and elective, Gynaecology, Breast, minor Plastics, Urology & Ophthalmology, covering Elective procedures in all of the afore mentioned specialities.

You should possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to work cohesively within the multidisciplinary team. Experience of working within a health care environment is essential while maintaining confidentiality at all times.

Hours will be worked to meet the needs of the service with flexibility to work over all sites in Fife.

There is a robust induction program which is supported by a team of Clinical Educators and a part time Education Coordinator.

We are passionate about investing and developing all our team members. We currently offer development opportunities for non-registered practitioners to advance their career within the perioperative setting within the SVQ health care support (clinical) qualification at level 3.

A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Prior to appointment.
