As Operations andCommercial Director you will bring operational excellence, drive animprovement culture and drive value for your customers. | |
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES | · Developmentof GBG growth strategy whilst supporting wider Country and Group strategy · Driveaccountability into the Operational teams in respect of operational and costdelivery. · Support the Key AccountManagers in Customer Quarterly Business Reviews · Deviseand deliver operational plans in-line with budget and strategy deliveryrequirements · Provide exceptional customer service to a diverse anddemanding portfolio of clients ensuring all forms of communication are fullyutilised as necessary · Organise transportation activities · Manage UK landside operations includingdomestic movements and warehouse activities including storage, re-working andre-delivery of goods· Organise transportationactivities from point of UK Port to delivery, orchestrating transportationmovements, and arranging services as necessary · Managing informationaccrued from UK port of arrival through to delivery, reporting to customers, suppliers & internalstakeholders accordingly · Booking in Deliveriesusing our systems including re-booking as necessary · Coordinate and track movement of goodsthrough logistic pathways· Execute logistics plan to move products andpackages to reach destinations on schedule· Responsibility for allrequired import/export documentation being made available to the customer /del point in advance of the delivery, via agreed medium (email, myHillebrand,AXIS etc) · Review freight rates andother transportation costs to keep working costs low · Maintains qualitythroughout the logistic processes
· In conjunction with Commercial& IT, drive haulier inbound / outbound data efficiency agenda (EDI)· Maintainaccurate records at all times for local office / area and group’srequirements | |
