Operational Buyer

Operational Buyer - Hinckley - Up to GBP35,000Chase & Holland are delighted to be partnered with a successful and very well-established Manufacturing and Engineering business based in Hinckley as they seek to recruit for an Operational Buyer to join their team. Reporting to the Senior Buyer, this exciting position will play a pivotal role in ensuring availability of materials and components to support production. The business are reputable leaders within their field and are forecasting a continued period of growth over the next 5 years and beyond.In Return You'll Receive:

Operational Buyer Responsibilities:

• Ensuring timely delivery of prescribed goods and services
• Maintaining stock levels and work with Supply Chain to ensure operations are not delayed due to shortages
• Managing MRP messages and raising Purchase Orders
• Securing and maintaining excellent relationships with all departments
• Developing key supplier relationships and maximising their delivery performance
• Sourcing and re-sourcing new suppliers for new products
• Build a good knowledge of goods and services procured and supplier markets
• Cost reduction assistance alongside the Purchasing Manager
• Reach KPI expectations with regards to supplier OTIF, Price variance
• Reporting to Stakeholders by providing information and analysis
• Occasional travel to UK Suppliers and other site

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Thursday 7:30am - 4:30 and 7:30am - 12:30pm Friday (Flexible)Required Skills & Experience:

• MRP knowledge and experience (Essential)
• Engineering/Manufacturing experience would be advantageous but not essential
• Have strong attention to detail and be IT literate including Microsoft Excel
• Be able to work to deadlines
• Ideally have at least 3 year purchasing experience
