Job description
Our Operational Team Leaders will:
- Provide great leadership, coaching and support – role modelling positive behaviours whilst also providing policy and legislative knowledge.
- Line managing a team – ensuring excellent team performance, great delivery, and quality of service.
- Provide great customer service.
- Collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
- Focus on and deliver continuous improvement for themselves and others - to build performance capabilities and drive engagement to achieve high quality outcomes.
- Communicate well and build relationships – supporting people to achieve our vision and goals.
- Ensure diversity, inclusion and staff wellbeing are valued and supported.
Person specification
We’re looking for Operational Team Leaders who:
- Are great leaders - setting a professional culture whilst delivering continuous improvements and building capability.
- Are strong line managers who can build strong and trusted relationships - to check-in with colleagues, support staff wellbeing and handle challenging conversations. If you’ve done this previously that would be great, but if not, we’d still love to receive your application.
- Deliver and improve operational performance – living our values of being bold to share good ideas to improve the integrity of the register.
- Confidently put customers at the heart of everything they do - displaying enthusiasm around delivering best in class service.
- Are great communicators – to convey messages clearly verbally and in writing.
- Are well organised and adaptable to deliver at pace and under pressure to meet changing priorities and deadlines.

Where will you be working?
We have a variety of Operational Officer roles available in a range of exciting teams and we’ll allocate successful candidates to roles. Requirements for office attendance will vary across teams but some of these roles may include the opportunity for hybrid working. Hybrid workers can work partly from the office and partly from their home, depending on business need.
All successful candidates should expect to need to attend our Cardiff office for up to 5 days per week during their initial training period.
We're also currently exploring options for new office space in the Cardiff and surrounding areas as we're due to be moving from our current building - join us on this journey where we can support you in your career and professional growth. Details are still being confirmed about our new building and we're keeping all our colleagues updated.

Selection process details
In your application form we’d like you to:
- Tell us about your employment history, including any key responsibilities and achievements.
- Write a personal statement of 750 words telling us about your skills and experience and linking them to the things we’ve asked for in the person specification (you can find the person specification in the top part of this advert).
Companies House uses a blended interview technique, allowing us to find out more about you. At interview stage, we will also be assessing using the Civil Service Success Profiles Behaviours and Strengths.

What will the process look like?
