Company Overview: Sky Protect is new innovative provider of Smart home insurance in the UK. We launched in 2023 and are now one of the fasting growing home insurers in the UK. As we continue to scale we are know seeking an experienced Operations lead to improve the way we manage our underwriting referrals from customers, claims and internal underwriting and pricing teams. This role will play a pivotal role in refining our existing processes to simplify the customer experience, upskilling our dedicated sales and service teams and managing ad hoc operational issues requiring underwriting support.
What you’ll do:
- Work with internal underwriting and pricing teams to continuously improve referrals processes and underwriting manual
- Manage the claims/fraud referrals process between our claims provider and operational team to manage requests
- Be the operational lead in customer experience forums to highlight ways to improve customer understanding of our product and covers
- Identifying knowledge gaps in agents and work with supplier to make continuous improvements
- Work with our claims provider to refine referral processes and speed up decision making
- Manage/input to serious complaints which involve issues regarding pricing, underwriting, mis-selling or issues originating from our claims services.
- Manage any reporting related to Operational Underwriting to support Consumer Duty, FCA or internal KPI tracking
- Point of contact for underwriting specific questions from operations staff
- Complete QA sample checks to make sure our QA team are applying appropriate scoring specifically focusing on areas such as product knowledge and sales practices
What you’ll bring:
- UK Insurance experience ideally Home Insurance
- Understanding of standard policy covers, limits and underwriting practices
- Familiarity of applicable FCA compliance regulation and how they should be embedded within a sales and service environment
- Ability to manage both internal and external stakeholders to improve process and ultimately customer outcomes
- Track record of continuous improvement in an operational environment
- Ability to prioritise and manage workstack of strategic and ad hoc requests
