Our client in Newport Pagnell are looking for an Operations Administrator to join their small and busy team.
Responsibilities to include:
Logistics:
- Organising imports from China and Europe via airfreight and sea freight. Includes checking commercial documentation, packing lists commodity codes.
- Book in imports with warehouse in advance and log onto software system.
- Pre-calculate VAT and duties.
- Negotiating rates to stay within budgets.
- Organising exports to Europe, includes preparing commercial documents.
- Manage UK daily shipments.
- Process claims for lost or damaged shipments.
- Checking and approving all import and export invoices and raising disputes as requested.
Purchasing + Stock Maintenance
- Inputting and processing of purchase orders for goods as requested from sales department.
- Process stationary orders and maintain minimum levels.
- Process packaging orders consulting with warehouse for requirement.
- Update and maintain supplier records.
- Negotiate supplier credit limits and terms.
- Create parts numbers for new products in software system.
- Maintain sales price list.
Quality Control
- Checking of product labels and installation instructions of stock items prior to import, liaise with suppliers accordingly.
Returns
- Authorizing customer returns and issuing returns numbers.
- Organize replacements and repairs.
- Keep records and analysis any trends / failure rates.
- Issue credit notes and refunds to customers.
Policy and Procedures
- Creating and updating company procedures.
- Review company terms and conditions yearly.
