About the Role As a member of the Professional Services Team, you will be responsible for contributing to the efficient operation of the School; in particular providing effective support for general administrative duties, procurement of goods and services, dealing with visitors, health and safety, and facilities issues. You will also be responsible for providing organisational and administrative support to the Head of School, ensuring the smooth, efficient and effective running of their diary and meetings. You will act as Secretary to relevant committees and will be responsible for organising agendas, papers and producing accurate minutes in a timely manner. Finally, as the successful candidate, you will be expected to be aware of and adapt to the changing requirements of the School, with the goal of enhancing the School’s day-to-day operations. About the School The post in the School of Mathematical Sciences sits within a professional services team of 14. The School is home to around 1300 undergraduate and postgraduate students, 80 PhD students, 85 academic staff, 16 research assistants and. It is one of five Schools in the Faculty of Science and Engineering. The School provides a supportive and friendly environment with a multi-disciplinary approach to teaching and research. The post is based at the Mile End Campus in London. It is permanent and full time, starting in February 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter. Salary will be Grade 3, in the range of £31,421 - £38,165 p/a inclusive of London Allowance.
