Responsibilities within your new role
The primary duties include organising and scheduling jobs onto the planner daily, updating it regularly, and providing quotations when necessary. Additionally, support is provided to store staff by allocating work orders, ensuring timely dispatches, and inputting proof of delivery (POD) information into the system. Follow-up on outstanding sales quotations, managing POD queries, and addressing related issues are also part of the responsibilities. Moreover, managing KPI data, handling inbound and outbound calls with customers and suppliers, and coordinating site maintenance needs by raising purchase orders are essential tasks. Lastly, receiving and processing supplier order acknowledgements are also part of the role.
Your experience, qualifications and personality
You must have a track record as an Operations Administrator or in a comparable role within a manufacturing setting. A thorough comprehension of purchase order and work order procedures is also mandatory. As for the requisite skills, exceptional verbal and written communication abilities are paramount. The candidate should possess strong organisational capabilities, enabling efficient multitasking. Proficiency in the MS Office Suite is required, along with the capacity to work under pressure without compromising attention to detail.
