Our client is a multimillion-pound FM company that proudly serves customers from the Northwest to the Southeast with a dedicated team of over 600 staff. Providing a range of effective services, encompassing commercial, industrial, and specialist cleaning, as well as grounds maintenance and complete Facilities Management, they are renowned for delivering excellence in commercial cleaning and hygiene services. They are now seeking an Operations Director / General Manager to supervise and direct the daily operations and activities of the business.
Acting as a key member of the Senior Management Team the Operations Director will hold numerous responsibilities. The primary objective is to ensure top-notch client experiences, oversee service delivery, and enforce company policies and procedures. Key aspects include effective team leadership and development, including coaching for exceptional performance standards. Thorough planning and control of contract operations, HR management, budget supervision, and adherence to performance indicators are also crucial. The role mandates driving profitable sales, nurturing client relationships, and spotting growth and innovation opportunities. It underscores flexibility, requiring a willingness to undertake reasonable tasks within the role's boundaries. In essence, the position combines strategic thinking, financial expertise, and a strong commitment to satisfying clients and maintaining operational excellence.
To qualify You should be an Operations Director / Regional Operations Director / Commercial Operations Director / Director of Operations / General Manager or similar with a CV that demonstrates:
- Relevant managerial experience, ideally in a similar role overseeing operations and client services.
- Experience in the Facilities Management / commercial cleaning industry.
- Proven experience in budget management and financial acumen.
- Strong track record of achieving and exceeding key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Demonstrated success in driving profitable sales and identifying business growth opportunities.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and coach teams to achieve exceptional standards.
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in budgeting and financial analysis.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively manage client relationships.
- Analytical mindset with the capability to identify areas for improvement and innovation.
- High level of commercial awareness and business acumen.
- Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for operations and reporting.
